Carolina Pyros 2022 spring Cobra Dust Off event!
I just checked my schedule, and apparently there's a little fireworks event coming up?
It totally slipped my mind!
Only 35 days until our annual spring “Cobra Dust Off” event!
Get your Cobras out, dust em’ off and let’s get ready to rock!
Not sure where to begin so I’m going to start throwing darts at it!
Food, Fun, Friends and Fireworks!
Dave Violette and his daughter Emily are champion chili cook off experts and will be making their specialty chili for us for Saturday nights dinner! I will have bottles of my (almost) famous Woodward Widow Maker hot sauce on hand for the bravest of the brave!
Friday night will be pizza night, we’ll order out Little Caesars!
Saturday’s lunch will be hotdogs, chips and a drink for a $5.00 donation to the club.
As always we’ll be having our 50/50 raffle for a chance to win some cold hard cash!
Our vendors are once again donating product to our silent auction!
Now on to the fun stuff!
This just blows my mind. We will be doing a mass launch of 300 2” rockets! WOW!
1.4 open shoot Friday and Saturday evenings!
We will be launching 3”, 4” and 5” shells Saturday night!
We will be holding a couple of round table discussions Saturday. How to build Italian shells, a 1.3 shell building 101 discussion and we will be building a set piece!
Saturday evening our Carolina Pyros Jr’s will be showcasing their talent with awesome 2x2 board displays! We currently have 8 displays scheduled!
Vendors will be on site with deeply discounted products for sale!
Bon fire is already built for Saturday night’s afterglow party and if you’ve ever been to one of our afterglow parties, well, you know---- what happens on the farm stays on the farm!
As always primitive camping and RV parking on site!
I’m sure that I’ve missed a bunch of details, but all I can say is that this is yet another Carolina Pyros club event that you do not want to miss!

Here is the rough itinerary for our Carolina Pyros Cobra Dust Off spring event! Gates open 8AM Friday morning. We are accommodating our long distance travelers/overnight campers and you can arrive Thursday. FRIDAY All day and up until 10PM open shoot! Bring your daytime cakes! Friday evening around 6PM or so we’ll order out pizza for everyone for dinner. 7PM or so product demos! SATURDAY 10AM A round table discussion with our very own Mr. Robert Pearce on building his professional and awe inspiring Italian shells! 11AM A round table hands on experience led by Mr. Jim Chafin on shell building! Noon Lunch! 1PM A very special hands on experience with our very own Mr. Bernie Rissell as we construct 2 set pieces to be fired Saturday evening! We have a very special surprise for our Jr members as soon as I can round them all up! Dinner slated for 5PM Club/Safety meeting, 50/50 raffle winner announcement and silent auction winners announced 6PM Jr. members board displays starting around 7PM Open shoot immediately after the Jrs! Approximately 9:30 – 9:45 we let the big boys loose! 10PM lighting of the bon fire and afterglow party starts! SUNDAY Clean up! Many hands make short work of clean up and we have strived to make it fast and simple. Everyone is asked to please do your part to keep the farm clean over the course of the weekend, this ensures a quick turnaround!
