Carolina Pyros - PGI Display Operator Certification

The PGI Display Operator course is designed for people who are 18 years of age or older who are either interested in or already using Display Fireworks. No matter what their skill level is you can take valuable information from this course. Course materials are up dated regularly so that they incorporate an up-to-date version of the NFPA Code, as well as current safety techniques. The course provides 8 hours of CE (Continuing Education) for individuals that are currently have a state pyrotechnics operator license. For the folks that do 1.4 this course will help towards your state operator license. The PGI Display Operators course is a one-day class and it includes demos of malfunctions and other potential hazard scenarios. Course includes a live fire training opportunity that it is hands on. The cost of the course is $50 without book, $100 with copy of the current version of the PGI Display Operator Textbook (300+ pages) is used during the class and is yours to keep as a valuable reference tool.

What to bring:

• Full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

• Non-flammable clothing (Cotton, Denim, Nomex, Wool, etc.)

• Long pants

• Long sleeved shirt

• Eye & Ear protection

• Closed toe shoes

• Hair cover/Hard Hat

• Paper (notes) Pen, Pencil (notes & test)

Course Schedule:

• Friday April 16st

• Registration: 7:30 a.m.

• Begin: Promptly at 8:00 a.m.

• Lunch: Around Noon (Lunch is not provided but there will be snacks available) 

• Live Fire: 5:00 p.m.

• End: 6:00 p.m.
